Thanks. And yes the Xylosynth is working out great. The kids love it and it really helps us all out having the kids on headphones considering I teach in an office area with no door separating the main band room where other lessons are taking place.

Hi Will! I purchased a 4-octave birch xylosynth from you about 3 years ago, and I wanted to give you an update... First and foremost, I LOVE IT. In fact, everyone that hears it absolutely loves it I've been using the Xylosynth in 2 different scenarios... I drum full-time in a funky psychedelic rock band called Scott Pemberton Trio (www.scottpemberton.com). I moved my rack tom to the floor and have the Wernick over my kick. I use a Vic Firth swizzle stick with a soft felt mallet to play it without damaging it. Surprisingly enough, we made a Billboard chart this summer! We were 4th on the "Tastemakers" chart... right behind Daft Punk and right above Black Sabbath! I also have a solo project under the alias, GALAXE (www.galaxemusic.com). I recently released my first album, ILL BEVANS, which is a conscious hip hop project I've been working on for the past 2 years. I did all the production, as well as the vocals. I'm in the process right now of learning how to perform the material live, in a DJ-type atmosphere, using the Xylosynth, organic Vibraphone, turntable, Roland sp-404 sampler, and minimal loops from a laptop. I have a ton of pictures of the Xylosynth in action on my facebook page and the Scott Pemberton Trio page. I want to thank you again for designing such an inspiring instrument!!! I look forward to playing your creations for as long as this life allows me to

I wanted to let you know how rapt I am with the 3 octave Xylosynth you sent to me here in Adelaide earlier this year. It was an expensive purchase and I was a little unsure about doing it but I'm definitely glad I did. I have married it to an Arturia Origin module http://www.arturia.com/
products/hardware-synths/ origin-desktop The 2 together are really quite formidable. Thanks for the great instrument. cheers- Bernard

Yes we received the Xylosynth some weeks back. We absolutely love it! The craftsmanship on it is really superb and responsiveness of the instrument allows a lot of nuanced playing. We are just now getting our ensemble together and the Xylosynth will feature prominently you can be sure.

Hello Julie-Ellen, Finally the Xylosynth came to Liencres. We are very happy with the instrument. It's sounding with a Roland Fantom and it sounds amazing. Thank-you very much.
- Oskar Galende – Spain
The Xylosynth just might be one of the greatest inventions of all time! It is terrific! Thank you! Audiences are absolutely enthralled by it. Also my performing life has become substantially easier. Lugging a full set of vibes around was rather cumbersome to say the least. When one adds in the module options for different sounds, I can't lose.

My Xylosynth is such a beautiful instrument. I'm really thrilled to have it here and look forward to many years with it. Thanks for working with me through my questions and the ordering process. I really appreciate the high level of customer service.

The playing feel of this instrument is where it shines. I’ve had the chance to let two other percussionists try the Xylosynth, and their response in each case matched my first impression verbatim: “It feels like playing a marimba.” The Xylosynth feels very much like an acoustic percussion instrument. The best thing that can be said about the Xylosynth's feel, sensitivity, and expressive capabilities, is that when I play it, I'm not aware of the playing surface. The interface between the player and the instrument isn't a conscious consideration, which speaks volumes to the "natural" feel of the Xylosynth.
- James Walker, Mallet Jazz
I am very very happy with the Xylosynth. It has also proven live in different ensembles (duo, combo and big band). For me it runs on a Macbook Air with Main Stage and GarageBand.
- Wilfried Bokelmann
Apols for not getting back to you re receipt, too busy playing the Xylosynth! Very happy indeed - loving the vibraphone sounds.
- Dan Macintyre – UK
I'm now a freelance sound engineer and a professional musician. I play with two bands (2 french singers) and I always play the Xylosynth with one of them; David Keler. I love playing the Xylosynth, and everyone in the band and the audience like it. David Keler asked me to have it on every gig! Sometimes I have some questions about it, and I ask people to contact you.

I received the Xylosynth yesterday and was perplexed as to whether I should play it or place it in an art gallery and charge admission. What a beautiful work of art and well crafted instrument combined. The best non-esthetic feature for me is the real-time length of note control using the analogue control knob. The second best feature for me is that because it looks more like high quality furniture than an instrument, my wife is more receptive to it being set up in our bedroom, where I practice. Thank you very much for producing such a fine instrument.

Just a courtesy note to advise that my Xylosynth arrived safely yesterday - a day earlier than estimated - thank-you - that is great service from yourselves and your freight company. The instrument is beautiful - I played it for about 30 minutes and it seems to function perfectly too. I'll send another update in a week or so after it has bedded in a little further.

My new Xylosynth has arrived this morning and was a beauty to look at and a bliss to try out. It worked wonderfully "out of the box" with some sounds I had on Reason, and I'm already in love with the "note length" knob!!! I'm sure it will be a truly inspiring instrument.
I'd like to thank you all very much for the excellent work, the punctuality and professionality. My best wishes and congratulations!
Keep it up.
- Ian Da Preda
The instrument is just beautiful. The craftsmanship is perfect.I'm looking forward to incorporating it into my set up. The feel is very nice and I can see that it won't take long to get used to playing on it.The few sounds I worked with already were a joy to produce on it. This instrument has great potential. I am very glad to finally own one.I will be in touch.Bravo!PeacePeter

Can I just reiterate what I said yesterday in my phone call to you about how pleased I am with my Xylosynth. It is beautifully made and a pleasure to play. Last week I used it to play the bell part in Puccini's Tosca and received continued praise for the instrument from both the Conductor and the Artistic Director. This week, it is being used in a production of West Side Story and again I've had praise from the conductor for the instrument. Hooked up to a Kurzweil PC2R, the Xylosynth is producing some amazing results.

It all arrived on Monday! The mallets were just fine and the Xylosynth is very OK, it works great with the Vienna mallet samples! So big thanks for the great service! Oh and of course the wheeled flightcase is great since it's perfectly fitting and very safe in the padded foam and easy to carry. I did a gig with the XS last week and it's fantastic!
- Robert Dorn
Hi Julie-Ellen,The Xylosynth has arrived and it's perfect!Everything is perfect!I will play it in public for the first time in two weeks!Thank you very much.Best Regards

I am really enjoying playing your 4-octave Xylosynth alongside my marimba on the Nigel Kennedy tour. I had for many years always used another mallet controller but thought on this tour of the new album recorded with a serious amount of technology from the group Massive Attack I would try the Xylosynth as it was highly recommended by the guys at Bell Percussion in London for a Nigel Kennedy tour last year. It's been a real revelation and I will probably now request the use of a Xylosynth throughout the world tour. Congratulations on a top notch product and design.
- Orphy Robinson
I'm using a lightweight, 15" rattan mallet rather than a traditional marimba or vibraphone mallet. In my experience with your instrument, a lighter mallet with less mass in the core, has freed up my playing and opened doors to expression that are much harder to open on a set of concert vibes or marimba. I flow with the Xsynth; I make decisions during jazz improvisation, for example, that are achieved with ease. I am able to express every musical thought that comes to me without any regard as to whether it will be physically possible to make it happen. It's straight from my brain into reality! Sorry for the hyperbole, but it's so cool. The quality build of your instrument paired with the properly balanced and weighted mallet makes this happen. It has transformed my performance.
